Landed on my feet: The story of my hike, accident, injuries, and path to recovery

In 2016, I fell 95 m from a cliff. I broke an ankle, both knees, and a hand. I also sustained a severe brain injury, was in a coma for two weeks, and had three months of posttraumatic amnesia. I received excellent medical and rehabilitation care, including laser light and sound therapy. I do not suffer from pain. Highlights include working, traveling, writing, and hiking. The brain is a cool and complicated organ that can heal remarkably well from trauma.
Beer and Exercise: A not so unlikely pair

If you’re here, you probably like beer, cheers! You may or may not like exercise, but the underlying processes for making beer and exercising are surprisingly similar. I’ll outline the biochemical processes linking exercise and brewing, and hopefully, give you a better appreciation of both.
