Virtually every cell in the human body possess tail-like structures called cilia. In the past decade, research has revealed that cilia are essential to many facets of human health. Individuals with compromised cilia experience deficits ranging from Polycystic Kidney Disease to obesity. In this Pint of Science lecture, I will be describing the basic cell biology of cilia, exploring the diversity of cilia in nature, and considering the nature of the
